We have extended our successful Castle Key scheme to cover schools that are based in Cardiff. This means if you are a teacher based in Cardiff who wants to bring a class to the Castle on a regular basis, you can do so easily and at a much reduced cost.
For an annual charge of just £30, a teacher can bring up to 180 children on one free visit to the Castle or the equivalent of 30 children on 6 visits within a year.
The scheme applies to schools and colleges based within the unitary authority of Cardiff. Language schools based in Cardiff are not eligible. A child is defined as anyone in full time education in a Cardiff school or college, up to the age of 18. Entry for under 5s is free to the Castle. Your free visit cannot be used in conjunction with any other educational activity on site organised by Cardiff Castle Education Service, Firing Line: Cardiff Castle Museum of the Welsh Soldier, or third party organisation. The Schools' Castle Key is valid during term time only and will not be valid on special event days such as Joust! or at weekends.
