Some of the Castle's stunning rooms are available for corporate hire and private functions, ranging from corporate presentations, gala dinners to smaller functions and meetings.

The Castle also hosts traditional Welsh Banquets in the splendour of the 15th century Undercroft.

Welsh Banquets

An unforgettable evening of Welsh hospitality in the historic surroundings of Cardiff Castle.

Dating from the 15th century, the Undercroft is one of the oldest parts of the Castle and here you can enjoy the very best of Welsh food, entertainment and the warmest of welcomes from your hosts the Nosweithiau Bute-iful Nights.

Welsh BanquetsThis is a great value night at just £36 per person, including a 4 course meal, half a bottle of wine and all entertainment. For a small extra cost, a tour of the Castle apartments can also be arranged before the Banquet begins (currently £3.75 pp, minimum numbers apply).

Evening tours begin from 6pm. The bar opens at 7pm and the banquet begins at 7.30pm and finishes at approximately 10pm. The bar closes at 10.30pm

Welsh Banquets are available from 2nd January - 30th November 2010.

Christmas Banquets are available from 1st - 23rd December 2010.
Prices for 2010 - £35 (Sun-Tues) and £40 (Wed-Sat).
Christmas banquets start at 8.00pm and finish at 10.30pm

Welsh Banquets Menu

  • Glamorgan Sausages served with red onion marmalade and wild leaf salad
  • Traditional lamb cawl and a bakers roll
  • Breast of chicken filled with leeks and organic Caerphilly cheese, served in a red wine and rosemary jus. Seasonal vegetables and
    minted potatoes.
  • Welsh honey cream mousse, topped with raspberries and chocolate, served with
    a Danzy Jones crème anglaise

Menu (vegetarian)

  • Glamorgan Sausages served with a red onion marmalade and wild leaf salad
  • Vegetable cawl and a bakers roll
  • Caerphilly cheese soufflé tart, topped with apple and onion, served with a cream & herb sauce.
    Seasonal vegetables & minted potatoes.
  • Welsh honey cream mousse, topped with raspberries & chocolate, served with a Danzy Jones crème anglaise.
