Victorian Weekend

20 - 21
May

10am - 4pm

Renowned and recognised as one of the UK’s most important historic houses for its extravagant and awe-inspiring interiors, it is only fitting that Queen Victoria herself visits the Castle as we celebrate the extraordinary legacy of the Victorians.

For an authentic flavour of these times, the Ragged Victorians will recreate the lives of the ‘great unwashed’. It was tough for the lower classes as they tried to eke out a living.  Story-telling, cookery demonstrations and the chance to re-visit the spectacular rooms on a guided tour will bring this important episode in the Castle’s history to life.

Special Event Ticket:

Adults: £6; Seniors: £5; Children: £4;

Castle Key Holders: Adults: £4; Seniors: £3; Children: £2
