Santa returns to his magical Grotto in the Black Tower, one of the oldest and most historic parts of the Castle. Santa will be ready and waiting to give out presents to all good boys and girls. There will be plenty of opportunities to take your own family photographs as a memento of your visit.

I booked my tickets for Santa’s Grotto via Ticketline UK. Are my tickets still valid?
Yes, Cardiff Castle would like to reassure customers who have bought tickets for Santa's Grotto through Ticketline UK that their tickets are still valid for the session they purchased.
What do I need to do?
All customers are asked to print out their tickets or email confirmation of the booking and bring them along for checking on the day of their visit. You may also be asked for proof of ID to avoid fraudulent use of tickets and the name on the booking should match the ID supplied.
What can I do if I can’t print out my tickets?
We understand that some people have not been able to download or print out their tickets. Please be aware that if you only have the email confirmation we cannot verify the session time that you have booked and we will operate a waiting system to accommodate all bookings. Please contact the Castle for further details on 029 2087 8100. This may involve waiting for the next available session, and we will do our best to keep you updated whilst you are on site. Don’t forget that the Grotto ticket also includes access to the decorated interiors, an activity booklet and a Christmas craft activity.
Can I exchange or add any tickets to my booking?
This is not possible as all tickets for Santa’s Grotto have been sold. No more sessions will be added and we will not be able to refund tickets either.
Can I bring bank statements or proof of payment?
We cannot accept bank statements or proof of payment as this will not confirm how many tickets or which session has been bought.
What do I need to do if I have forgotten which time slot that I have booked?
Please be aware that if you only have the email confirmation we cannot verify the session time that you have booked and we will operate a waiting system to accommodate all bookings. Please contact the Castle for further details on 029 2087 8100.
I have booked a visit to Santa’s Grotto for my school. What do I need to do?
Schools’ bookings to Santa’s Grotto are not affected. Please follow the instructions on your booking confirmation letter.
