For two evenings only, Santa will be returning to his spot beneath the beautiful Christmas Tree in the Drawing Room at Cardiff Castle. Here he will meet groups of 10 children at a time to find out what they are putting on their Christmas list and let each child choose something to take home from a selection of gifts.
All children will have the chance to talk to Santa individually and choose a gift from a selection of quality toys.
There will be a maximum of 10 children and 20 adults per group. Everyone attending will require a valid ticket, including all accompanying adults.
Prices: Children £25 / Adults £20
- A short tour of some of the beautifully decorated rooms inside the Victorian House.
- A festive themed treasure hunt around the rooms.
- Tales of Christmas past in the Banqueting Hall.
- A group meeting with Santa, with children taking it in turns to talk to Santa and choose a gift.
- A 10% discount* in the Castle’s Christmas Gift Shop, valid until Christmas Eve (**restrictions apply – discount is not valid on purchases of jewellery and alcohol)

- Tickets are required for each child and each adult attending. Babies under 6 months do not require a ticket but will not be able to visit Santa or receive a gift without one.
- This is an evening group visit and should not be confused with our previous private evening tours.
- Refreshments will not be included in the ticket price.
- We regret that as this is a special event, Castle Keys/discounts will not apply.
- We will be offering a choice of gifts that will not be wrapped.
- We are sorry but we are not able to guarantee a Welsh-speaking Santa.
- Please note that the House is a historic building and gaining access includes stone steps and narrow doorways. We regret that the rooms are not accessible for those with mobility difficulties and there is no wheelchair access.
- Your ticket is only valid for the time stated on your booking. Due to the busy nature of the event, we will be unable to accommodate you if you arrive late or for the wrong tour. Please aim to arrive at least 10 minutes before your tour. There are many events and attractions in the Castle throughout the Christmas period, and you might want to arrive early to take advantage of those.
- Please ensure that you allow plenty of time to reach the Castle. We are located in the centre of a busy capital city. Heavy traffic and increased demand on parking will add to journey times during December. There is no parking available on site.
- Pushchairs cannot be taken inside the Victorian House. You will be advised where to leave the pushchair upon arrival.
- In the event of cancellation of a visit due to adverse weather conditions or due to other unforeseen circumstances, full refunds will only be given if an alternative time or date is unavailable. If in doubt, and to avoid disappointment, we would advise you to contact the Castle on 029 2087 8100 before travelling.
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Should any event cancellation occur then ticket costs will be reimbursed, however, any booking fees will be retained by the agent. You may consider the ticket insurance option when making your booking.
