THE GIFT SHOP
The Castle Gift Shop features an eclectic selection of beautiful gifts and keepsakes, including Welsh gold, crystal and exquisite jewellery. Traditional Welsh crafts, such as love-spoons, are also available, plus a castle-themed children’s section with everything a would–be knight or princess might need.
VISIT CARDIFF INFORMATION POINT
The Information Point hosts interactive touchscreens and a variety of literature including brochures, flyers and maps, that will help you plan your visit around Cardiff and the region.
TICKET OFFICE
The focal point to buy admission tickets, upgrade to a tour or answer any enquiries you may have about Cardiff Castle. Top Tip: During busy periods, we may sell out of admission tickets, or there may be a queue to buy tickets so save yourself time by purchasing tickets online prior to your visit.
THE PUBLIC SQUARE
Available When Not Hosting Events
When we're not welcoming major events to the Castle such as the iconic Cardiff's Winter Wonderland and TK Maxx presents DEPOT Live, we're able to offer the Public Square as additional green space in the city to catch up with friends, relax after hitting the shops and rest between visiting our major attractions. When the Public Square is closed, you can still enjoy the Cafe Terrace, or head into Bute Park, just outside of Cardiff Castle which is home to endless spaces to explore and unwind.

KEEP ONLY TICKET
Public Square users who would like to climb the Castle’s impressive twelve-sided Norman Keep can do so for a small fee. There are approximately 50 steep stone steps leading to the Keep entrance and further steps to reach the viewing platform, but it’s worth the effort!
Keep Only Ticket | Prices |
Adult | £7.00 |
Child | £5.00 |
Senior / Student / Disabled | £6.00 |
Please note that the steps may not be suitable for all visitors and that it may be necessary to close the Keep during adverse weather conditions. Keep Only tickets cannot be upgraded with Guided Tour tickets.
