The Banqueting Hall

Capacity – 100 guests

This magnificent hall is the largest and one of the most impressive rooms in the Castle and was used by the Bute family for grand entertaining. With high ceilings and atmospheric lighting, this room provides a spectacular setting for your event. There is also the option of adding a drinks reception in The Library and The Drawing Room.

A flexible space, The Banqueting Hall can be adapted for many uses. Table layouts can include one single block table, or round tables. Up to three musicians can be accommodated in the Minstrels' Gallery.

For conservation reasons dancing is not permitted in the Banqueting Hall, however, the Undercroft and the Interpretation Centre are areas within the Castle where dancing can be accommodated.
