Easter: Knight & Princess School

Come to Cardiff Castle this Easter and learn what it took to be a medieval knight or princess!

See the armour and weapons needed to be a knight and take part in a foam sword battle. Join in the Princess school to find out what life was really like for a medieval princess – the clothes, hair and make-up worn. 

• 10:30 – Foam Sword Battle
• 11:30 – From Squire to Knight
  (learn what is takes to become a knight, the training involved, and the equipment and clothing needed)
• 12:30 – Foam Sword Battle
• 14:00 – Princess School
  (make up, hair and beauty & dressing up)
• 15:00 – From Squire to Knight
  (learn what is takes to become a knight, the training involved, and the equipment and clothing needed)
• 16:00 – Foam Sword Battle

There will also be a tent with a selection armour to try on which will be open at various times during the day (but closed during the display times shown in bold).

FREE to Castle Key holders and Castle Ticket holders

The event ticket price includes access to the Norman Keep and Battlement Walk but not to other paid areas of the Castle, including the House and Tours.
