THE PUBLIC SQUARE

FREE ENTRY during opening hours.

The Public Square, first introduced during COVID-19 lockdown, will continue to be a fixture at Cardiff Castle for the foreseeable future. Visitors and city centre users are welcome to come in and relax in the beautiful setting of the Castle’s outer green, free of charge. While you’re here, you can also pick up a souvenir at the Castle Gift Shop or grab a bite  and a beverage at Keep Dining Experience. Visitors seeking more information about the city should stop by the Cardiff Visitor Information Point, located just outside the main gate.

Upgrade your Castle Ticket for a small additional fee you can join an expert guide on one of our fascinating and informative castle tours. Follow in the footsteps of the Bute family and delve a little deeper in to the history of this amazing building.
