Cardiff Castle has unveiled a new collection of jewellery inspired by the work of art-architect William Burges who along with the 3rd Marquess of Bute, transformed Cardiff Castle into the medieval fantasy palace you see today. For anybody seeking an utterly unique and distinctive piece of jewellery, these pieces are treasure indeed.
Created by Cardiff Bay- based award – winning goldsmith, Neil Rayment, this is the first time such an extensive collection has been crafted from Burges’ original designs. The challenge was to interpret the Victorian designs and create a collection of jewellery pieces that would appeal to a contemporary market. Within the collection are bracelets, necklaces, tie pins and brooches, which are both affordable and beautiful keepsakes.
